Jalapeño Popper Soup With Grilled Cheese Dippers
  1. Cook bacon in a large pot until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the pot.

  2. Add onion and jalapeños. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.

  3. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir for 1 minute.

  4. Slowly pour in chicken broth while stirring. Add milk and bring to a gentle simmer.

  5. Stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth. Add cheddar cheese and stir until creamy.

  6. Return bacon to the pot. Season with salt and pepper & whatever additional seasoning you want to add yourself.

  7. Butter one side of each bread slice.

  8. Place cheese between bread slices.

  9. Cook in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.

  10. Cut into strips for dipping.
