Pour some olive oil on the bottom of the baking dish and place the whole feta block on top.
Chop the red chili pepper and add on top of feta cheese, surround with cherry tomatoes (roll around in oil) and garlic cloves (cut in half lengthwise), and salt and pepper them.
Bake in 400 F for 15 minutes in the middle rack.
Turn the heat to 440 F (change to grilling mode) for another 10 minutes. Optional: move to the upper rack.
Cook the pasta al dente according to cooking instructions.
Break the feta a bit and mix with tomatoes, mix with pasta, and add plenty of basil leaves.
