Brown meat in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Meanwhile, parboil the chopped potatoes with a ⅓ cup of water in the microwave for 5 minutes.
Add vegetables; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in water. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer 10 mins or until vegetables are tender.
Add beans and barbecue sauce; stir.
Cook 5 minutes or until heated through.
Sprinkle with cheese.
