Add olive oil to pan along and heat on medium
Add shallots, garlic and tomatoes and sauté for 5 minutes or so
Take sautéed vegetables out of the pan while leaving the oil; add ground beef and sausage and brown
Pour off approx 90% of oil in the pan, reduce heat to low and add sautéed veggies and tomato paste to the pan
Cook rawness out of tomato paste for about 5 minutes
Add vodka and cook off alcohol
Add heavy cream, stir and cook on low for a few minutes
Add salt and pepper to taste
Add ¼ to ½ cup pasta water to the sauce and heat through
Mix in al dente pasta and serve
