Over The Top Chili
  1. Season ground beef with your favorite bbq rub and form it into a loaf.

  2. In a dutch oven cook bacon and put to the side.

  3. Using the bacon grease sauté onions and bell pepper until soft, then add in garlic and sweat down until fragrant.

  4. Add diced tomatoes and the baked beans and add back in your cooked bacon with cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, chili powder, Sam Adams Non-Alcoholic Just the Haze IPA, salt, and pepper.

  5. Stir all ingredients and in the smoker or oven at 225F.

  6. Place your ground beef on the warming rack (over top so that the fat renders in the chili) and smoke for about 4 hours.

  7. Stir the chili every hour and spritz the ground beef with beef broth.

  8. When ground beef reaches 165F internal it’s ready to shred into your chili and serve!
