Pat dry the pork with a paper towel and cut into pieces that are slightly larger than bite-sized. Then season with salt.
Heat oil in a pot or Dutch oven. Add pork. Cook until brown and crispy.
Saute the garlic, onion, and ginger
Once the onion softens, add the coconut milk. Stir and let the liquid boil. Once boiling, adjust the heat to medium, cover and continue boiling for 5 minutes.
Add Knorr Pork Cube and squash. Cover, and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
Add string beans. Cover and cook for another 5 to 8 minutes.
Season with ground black pepper and fish sauce to taste.
Transfer to a serving plate. Serve with white rice.
String beans: The recipe traditionally makes use of string beans. This is also known as sitaw in Filipino. Long green beans cut to 3 inch pieces (also known as baguio beans) can be used as a substitute.
Pork: This ingredient is nice to have for this recipe, but there are many alternative ingredients that you can use. For example, chicken , fried tofu, shrimp, and dried fish works well for this dish.
Coconut milk: Fresh coconut milk is best, but you can use cannned coconut milk or the powdered ones for this recipe.
