How To Make Frosting With Shortening
  1. Place a large metal mixing bowl in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes to chill.

  2. Remove from the freezer just before mixing the ingredients.

  3. Add powdered sugar, vegetable shortening, and vanilla extract to the chilled bowl.

  4. Pour in water and mix thoroughly with a fork.
