Boil 1 minute: 1 ½ cups sugar, 1 ½ cups white vinegar, 1 ½ cups water, 2 Tablespoons salt, 1 Tablespoon pickling spice
Put dill, 1 glove garlic, ½ onion and 1 hot pepper in each jar
Pack in cucumbers and cover with brine
Put jars in hot water bath just until pickles turn color (Approx. 20 minutes)
Let cool to seal
