In a bowl, grate the apple and onion and drain out the extra liquid.
Add the ground meat, egg, shredded cheese, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, thyme, dried onion, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface. Scoop about 1-2 tablespoons of the filling onto the center of the wrapper and flatten towards edges to about ¼” - ½” thickness
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil and brush evenly to coat
Working in batches, place the dumplings in the skillet meat side down and cook for 3 minutes, flip and cook for 2-3 more minutes until golden brown.
Serve hot, with your favorite dipping sauce.
