Homemade Tahini Recipe
  1. Step 1: Toast the Sesame Seeds - Place the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat. Stir frequently for about 3 to 5 minutes until the seeds become fragrant and lightly golden. Be careful not to brown them too much, as over-toasting can create a bitter flavor. Remove from heat and allow the seeds to cool slightly.

  2. Step 2: Blend the Seeds - Transfer the toasted sesame seeds to a food processor. Blend for about 1 minute until the seeds form a crumbly mixture.

  3. Step 3: Add Oil - Slowly add the oil while continuing to blend. Process for another 2 to 3 minutes until the tahini becomes smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add an additional tablespoon of oil until the desired consistency is reached.

  4. Step 4: Store - Transfer the tahini to a clean jar or airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to one month. Stir before each use, as natural separation may occur.
