Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan or a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together all the ingredients until the batter is smooth. The batter will be very thin – that’s what makes the cake so moist!
Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes for 9-inch layers or about 40 minutes for a 9×13-inch cake. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before frosting with your favorite chocolate or classic white frosting.
