  1. With a sharp knife, cut the brie straight from the fridge, into even slices.

  2. Spread the mustard on one slice of bread and the jam on the other.

  3. Layer the ham on the mustard-clad slice of bread and the brie on the jam slice.

  4. Sandwich the slices together.

  5. Melt about a tablespoon of butter in a medium skillet over medium-low heat.

  6. Swirl and add the sandwich and cook, flipping once, until golden brown and gooey, about 6 minutes total.

  7. Cut into desired shapes and enjoy immediately.
