2 slices medium firm tofu

½ cup plain flour

⅓ cup corn flour (corn starch)

1 tsp salt

Panko breadcrumbs

Pinch of salt

2 tbsp olive oil

1 red onion chopped

2 cloves garlic chopped

3 tbsp tomato paste

1 cup plant cream (soy, cashew or coconut)

3 tbsp nutritional yeast

4 tbsp water

1 tbsp calabrian chili paste (optional) (or chili flakes)

Salt to taste

Chopped lettuce

Toasted baguette

This is my crispy tofu and vodka sauce sandwich.
Welcome to Episode 9 of let me make you a sandwich where I feature sandwiches that I'd make for you if you ask me to make you a sandwich.
And if you're new here, hi. I'm the self proclaimed tofu king.
Once we fried the crispy tofu, toasting the bread is a non negotiable.
Then it's time to make the vodka sauce.
I know I said vodka sauce. I didn't add any vodka, but that's the name the internet is given to it.
So this is one of the most delicious sauces and it's perfect for pastas.
Once all the bits are ready, it's time to build that sandwich.
Bit of the vodka sauce, some chopped lettuce, two pieces of crispy tofu and a generous drizzle of the vodka sauce.
