Cream together butter and sugars in a large bowl.
Slowly mix in egg, water, and all extracts.
In another bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
Gradually add dry mixture to wet, mixing between additions.
Chill dough in refrigerator for 60–90 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400˚F.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on lined baking sheet.
Flatten each with a fork to create ridges and sprinkle sugar on top.
Bake for 8–10 minutes or until edges are golden.
Cool for 5 minutes on sheet before transferring to rack.
