Chocolate Rugelach
  1. Combine your dry ingredients with the wet and knead for 5 mins. Then leave the dough to prove for an hour

  2. In the meantime combine all the filling ingredients and set aside.

  3. Roll the dough as thin as poss on a floured surface. Lather in filling. Fold it over. Roll thin again. Then cut into triangles. Stretch and pull as you roll the triangles up.

  4. Place on a lined tray and leave to prove again for an hour. Egg wash, then bake on 180 for approx 25 mins.

  5. Whilst baking combine syrup ingredients in a pan and simmer for three minutes. Paint into the Rugelach liberally as soon as they are out the oven!
