Crispy Air Fryer Tofu Recipe With Honey Garlic Sauce
  1. Remove the tofu from its packaging and drain the liquid. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel or paper towels and press gently to remove excess moisture. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes.

  2. Slice the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes or rectangles. Place them in a mixing bowl and toss with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and let it marinate for 5 minutes. Then, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of cornstarch over the tofu and toss until evenly coated.

  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes. Spray the basket with cooking oil and place the tofu cubes in a single layer. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  4. While the tofu is cooking, whisk together 3 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 2 cloves garlic (minced), and ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until well combined and slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired.

  5. Once the tofu is done, transfer it to a large bowl. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the crispy tofu and gently toss until fully coated.

  6. Plate the tofu and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for extra flavor and crunch. Serve warm!
