Irish Tea Bread
  1. Dump a mixture of 2 ¼ cups raisins and currants into mixing bowl.

  2. Add 1 cup of brown sugar

  3. Brew 1 cup of very strong tea

  4. Pour tea over the raisins and sugar. Stir well

  5. Let the above stand all day or all night.

  6. Preheat oven to 300°

  7. Do not pour off any excess liquid

  8. Add 2 cups of flour

  9. 1 tsp. baking powder

  10. Beat up an egg and add it to the mixture

  11. Mix well

  12. Pour into well greased loaf pan.

  13. Bake at 300° for 2 hours -- on middle shelf.

  14. Do not eat until following day -- YUM-YUM!
