Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring frequently, until it begins to foam and turn golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and pour into a heatproof bowl. Allow to cool slightly.

  4. In a large bowl, combine the browned butter and both sugars. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined, about 1-2 minutes.

  5. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.

  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
