Caramelized Orange Maple Chicken
  1. Pat the chicken dry, season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.

  4. In the same pan, lower heat to medium and add garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  5. Pour in orange juice, maple syrup, soy sauce, brown sugar, Dijon, and orange zest.

  6. Stir and let it simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened and syrupy.

  7. Return the chicken to the pan. Spoon the glaze over the chicken as it cooks for another 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally until the sauce reduces and coats each piece in a glossy orange sheen.

  8. Sprinkle with fresh thyme and top with caramelized orange slices.

  9. Serve hot over rice, roasted potatoes, or couscous — and drizzle that leftover glaze right on top!
