Bring the steaks to room temperature for about 20-30 minutes. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
Brush both sides of each steak with olive oil.
Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, or your favorite steak seasoning blend.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes.
Place the steaks in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re not overlapping for even cooking.
Cook for 8 minutes on one side.
Flip the steaks using tongs and cook for an additional 7 minutes for medium doneness (adjust the time for your desired level of doneness).
Use a meat thermometer for accuracy: Rare: 125°F (52°C), Medium-Rare: 135°F (57°C), Medium: 145°F (63°C), Medium-Well: 155°F (68°C), Well-Done: 160°F (71°C).
Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.
