Gold Brick Candy
  1. Combine sugar and milk in a heavy bottomed pot.

  2. Bring to a rolling boil for 9 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat.

  4. Add chocolate chips, marshmallow creme and butter.

  5. Beat together; add vanilla and nuts.

  6. Combine well.

  7. Pour in a buttered 13- by 9-inch pan and place in the freezer for 1 hour.

  8. Cut in squares and return to freezer.
