Jean’s COOKIE JAR GINGERSNAPS
  1. Mix flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon and salt together.

  2. Cream shortening until soft, add sugar gradually, creaming after each addition until well blended.

  3. Beat in egg and molasses. Sift in dry ingredients, cream well.

  4. Form into small balls, roll in sugar. Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheets.

  5. Bake 350 for 12 mins. Makes 4 dozen.
