Delicious Large Smoked Gammon Joint: Perfect For Roasting
  1. Preheat your oven to gas mark 180°C.

  2. Place the joint in a roasting dish and cover it with tinfoil.

  3. Cook for 30 minutes per 1lb of meat, plus an additional 30 minutes.

  4. About 30 minutes before the end of cooking, remove the tinfoil to achieve a good crackling.

  5. If you want to add a glaze, do so 20 minutes before the end to prevent it from burning.

  6. Serve the gammon joint hot.
