Single Serve Levain Cookie
  1. Stir together the butter, light brown sugar, sugar and vanilla until combined and creamy (1-2 minutes)

  2. Stir in the tablespoon of beaten egg and stir to combine.

  3. Add in the pinch of baking soda, baking powder and salt.

  4. Finally stir in the flour, chocolate chips and walnuts just until combined, don’t over mix.

  5. Use a large cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto a plate (don’t roll it or smooth it out, just leave it a rustic mound) then freeze for 20-25 minutes just to set/hydrate the dough. While it’s chilling preheat the oven to 375F.

  6. Once the dough is chilled place the dough mound onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes then lower your oven to 350F and bake another 5 minutes just until slightly golden on the edges and the bottom. Allow to cool for 5 minutes then enjoy !!!
