Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
Place the butter in a cast iron skillet (10–12 inch works best) and put it in the oven to melt while you make the batter.
In a bowl or blender, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and eggs until smooth and well-mixed.
Carefully remove the hot pan from the oven and quickly pour the batter over the melted butter.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the pancake is puffed, golden brown, and set in the center.
Remove from the oven, slice, and top with your favorite toppings. Serve immediately.
