Ingredients:
2 fillets of cod or haddock or bass a fish cut into smaller pieces
½ cup all purpose flour, Plus extra flour to pre-coat the fish.
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon each of salt and pepper
½ cup cold, sparkling water
Chips:
Two large potatoes cut in wedges
Soak potatoes in cold water for 20 minutes
Pat dry With olive oil, salt and pepper.
Cook an air fryer at 380° for 20 to 25 minutes, shaking halfway through until golden brown.
Set aside in warming oven until fish is cooked.
Batter:
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, paprika, salt, and pepper together. Slowly add in the sparkling water until a smooth, thick batter forms.
Coat the fish pieces in dry flour first so the batter will stick better.
Dip each piece of fish in the batter.
Place battered fish into 400° air fryer.
Cook for 10 minutes and turn pieces. Cook for another 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown
