Cook the lentils until they are cooked, but still have quite a lot of bite to them.
In the meantime finely chop the mushrooms and onion. Add to a dry and hot pan to release most of the moisture, then add some oil and sauté until they’ve got some good color.
Roughly mash the lentils with a fork.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, mix with your hands until everything comes together. If necessary add some more flour as a binder.
Shape the patties, then fry in a little oil until crispy from both sides. Optionally add some vegan cheese.
Toast your buns, then build your burgers with whatever toppings you like. Enjoy!
