Fold in the sliced apples gently until they are evenly coated with the mixture.
Pour the apple mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
Sprinkle sliced almonds on top for added texture.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the apples are tender.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
