Preheat oven to 200°C / 390 °F.
Slice the baguette into slices of about 3 cm using a serrated knife. Do not cut all the way through so that the baguette stays together.
Chop the garlic and parsley.
Mix the butter, garlic, parsley and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Mash everything with a fork.
Spread the garlic butter mixture between the baguette slices and on top. If necessary, add some cheese between the slices.
Wrap the baguette in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper in case the butter leaks out to the foil.
Place in the oven for 15 minutes.
Serve warm.
