Korean Handmade Rice Cake
  1. Soak the grain rice in water at room temperature overnight.

  2. Blend the soaked rice and add a bit of water and a pinch of salt.

  3. Blend a second time to mix everything through.

  4. Steam the mixture for 10-12 minutes.

  5. Add olive oil and knead the dough until smooth.

  6. Toss the rice cakes with a little sesame oil.

  7. In a pan, add oil, minced garlic, rice cake, soy sauce, red pepper powder, and sugar syrup.

  8. Garnish with shredded green onions and sesame seeds.
