Ingredients
➤ Hasselback Apples:
3 firm red apples (Honeycrisp or Pink Lady)
150 g Brie, sliced thin
Fresh sage leaves
1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Pinch of cinnamon
➤ Hot Honey Glaze:
3 tbsp honey
½ tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
½ tsp apple cider vinegar
➤ To Serve:
⅓ cup toasted walnuts
Crackers or baguette slices
Optional: extra Brie for the board
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Set to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Prepare Apples: Slice apples Hasselback-style—thin cuts, stopping just before slicing all the way through.
Season & Fill: Brush apples with melted butter and dust lightly with cinnamon. Insert Brie slices and sage leaves between every few cuts.
Bake: Place on the tray and bake for 25–30 minutes, until apples are tender and the Brie is melted into the ridges.
Make Hot Honey: In a small pan, warm honey, chili flakes, and apple cider vinegar until it begins to bubble.
Toast & Assemble: Toast walnuts in a dry pan until golden. Drizzle hot honey over baked apples, scatter walnuts, and serve with crackers and extra Brie on the board.
