Slow Cooker Applesauce
  1. Peel the apples and cut into 1-inch chunks.

  2. Combine the apples with the apple juice or cider, the lemon juice, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker. Stir and cover. Cook on high for 4 hours, stirring halfway through.

  3. Puree with an immersion blender. Let cool before refrigerating.
