Homemade Chocolate Hobnobs
  1. Cream the butter & brown sugar.

  2. Add the golden syrup and blend together.

  3. Add the oats, flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and salt.

  4. Once it combines into a dough, wrap with cling film and pop in the fridge for 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 160ᵒc fan.

  5. Then roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls, place on a lined baking sheet and press the top of each ball down gently, leaving plenty of room between each biscuit.

  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. While the biscuits are cooling, melt the chocolate & butter together in the microwave. Stir every 20 seconds until combined.

  8. Cover the top of each biscuit with the melted chocolate and spread out evenly using the back of a spoon. Leave it to set for a couple of minutes, then use a spoon to swirl the chocolate to give it a traditional hobnob look.
