Ginger Bug
  1. Day 1: Combine 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon ginger, and 1 tablespoon sugar or honey

  2. Day 2: Add 1 tablespoon ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar or honey

  3. Day 3: Add 1 tablespoon ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar or honey

  4. Day 4: Add 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon ginger, and 1 tablespoon sugar or honey

  5. Continue this pattern until the mixture becomes bubbly

  6. To maintain: Feed every 2-3 days at room temperature, or store in refrigerator with tight lid and feed once every 10 days

  7. Always keep 1 tablespoon of the bubbly liquid and feed with 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon ginger, and 1 cup water

  8. The living yeast in the ginger will feed off the sugar provided
