Cover completely with tequila, ensuring strawberries are fully submerged
Let sit in a cool, dark place for 3 weeks
Strain through a fine mesh sieve
Squeeze any excess liquid out of the strawberries
Store infused tequila at room temperature
For the margarita: combine crushed freeze-dried strawberries and salt
Dip glass rim in agave, then coat with strawberry-salt mixture
Fill cocktail shaker with ice
Add 1.5 oz strawberry infused tequila, 1 oz orange liqueur, 1 oz lime juice, and 0.5-0.75 oz agave or simple syrup
Shake well
Strain into rimmed glass over ice and serve
