Kolache-Grandma Kalisek
  1. Scald milk & cool slightly.

  2. Dissolve yeast & 1 Tablespoon (or tsp?) sugar in lukewarm water

  3. Add sugar, egg yolks, melted butter, salt, & yeast Mixture. Blend well.

  4. Add remaining ingredients (yolks, zest, mace, & flour) & mix.

  5. Cover & let dough rise for 1.5 hours or until very light.

  6. Shape into small balls about the size of a walnut a place on a lightly greased pan.

  7. Brush w/melted butter & let rise 30 mins.

  8. Make indentations & put favorite filling.

  9. Let rise another 10 Mins.

  10. Bake for 10-15 mins @ 400-425°

  11. Dust w/ powdered sugar when cooled
