Set the oven to 400 degrees.
Then add the basil pesto, softened butter, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder to a small bowl. Combine.
Place the salmon fillets skin side down in a large baking dish. Season with salt and black pepper.
Divide the basil pesto butter mixture among the fillets evenly. Spread it on top of each piece of salmon.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, depending on how you like your salmon cooked. I like mine pretty well done so I do 15 minutes.
Broil on high for 2-3 minutes.
Serve with fresh basil and lemon slices. Enjoy!
