Rice Cooker Oyakodon
  1. Marinade chicken with all of the marinade ingredients, gently mix to combine! Let marinade for 10 minutes, overnight is best.

  2. Rinse rice until water runs clear - do this straight in the rice cooker pot for efficiency. Top up with water. Let soak for 20 minutes.

  3. Place marinated chicken and sliced onions over the rice, spreading in a layer evenly. Pour in any excess marinade. Close lid and turn the rice cooker on!

  4. While the rice is cooking, crack eggs and very lightly beat, so the yolks and whites are not fully combined.

  5. Once the rice is cooked, carefully open lid and pour over egg mixture. Close back lid for about 2-5 minutes to steam the eggs! The eggs should still have a ~jiggle~ to them, but to your preferred level of doneness!

  6. Oyakodon is ready - garnish with sliced spring onions and EAT!
