In a bowl or liquid measuring cup, whisk together Bachan’s Hella Hot Barbecue Sauce, water, sugar, and cornstarch. Set aside.
In a large skillet, heat up the oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until soft, about 3-5 minutes.
Add the thinly sliced beef to the pan and cook briefly until just cooked through, about 1-3 minutes.
Add the Hella Hot sauce mixture to the pan and bring to a gentle simmer, letting the sauce thicken.
Once the sauce coats the beef, remove from heat. Serve over hot short grain rice. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds if desired.
