Grandma's Lemon Chicken
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Place ½ cup milk and butter in the bottom of a baking dish. Set aside.

  3. Whisk together remaining ¼ cup milk and egg in a small shallow bowl until well combined. Stir together flour and lemon-pepper seasoning in another shallow bowl until evenly mixed.

  4. Dip chicken in egg mixture, then in flour mixture to coat completely. Place coated chicken in the prepared baking dish. Arrange lemon slices over chicken. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven until chicken is almost cooked through, about 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking until no longer pink in the centers and the juices run clear, about 15 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the centers should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
