  3. Drain the Rotel tomatoes, reserving about 1 tablespoon of the liquid for flavor.

  4. Fold in the drained Rotel, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, minced garlic, hot sauce (if using), black pepper, and smoked paprika.

  5. Taste the dip and adjust seasonings if needed.

  6. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to allow flavors to meld.

  7. Before serving, stir the dip once more to ensure even distribution of ingredients.

  8. Garnish with reserved green onions, a light sprinkle of smoked paprika, and additional shredded cheese if desired.
