In a large mixing bowl, mix together brown and white sugar, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, and melted butter until well combined.
Next add the flour and mix until there is no dry flour left.
Cover with plastic and set aside.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and butter and line an 8”-9” square or round cake pan.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cream together the butter and sugar on medium to high speed for about 3 minutes.
Turn the speed to low and add each egg, one at a time, mixing each egg in fully before adding the next.
Add vanilla extract and beat with the mixer on medium to high speed for another minute until fully combined.
Add your dry ingredients in 3-4 batches, mixing on low each time and scraping down your mixer bowl and attachment.
Once all of the dry ingredients are mixed in, add sour cream or yogurt and the milk, mix on slow just until combined into the batter maybe 20-30 seconds.
Scrape everything down and mix another 10 seconds.
Place half of your cake batter into your prepared pan.
Next sprinkle as much crumb as you want and lightly press it into the batter.
Then add the rest of your batter on top of the crumb, followed by another layer of crumb.
Press the crumb once again.
Bake your cake in a 350-degree oven for about 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool for at least 20-30 minutes.
For the icing, whisk together the milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar in bowl and drizzle over top of the cake.
