Chewy Oatmeal Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips.

  5. Scoop the dough into spoonfuls and place onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.

  6. Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers remain soft.

  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
