Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Glazed Pork Roast
  1. Pat the roast completely dry with paper towels. Mix your seasoning rub ingredients together in a small bowl and rub it generously all over the meat, pressing it into every crevice.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the roast for 3 to 4 minutes per side until a beautiful, deeply browned crust forms.

  3. Scatter the thickly sliced onions across the bottom of your slow cooker and pour in the broth. Place your seared roast directly on top of the onions.

  4. In a bowl, whisk together the honey, BBQ sauce (or brown sugar), soy sauce, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar. Pour about half of this glaze mixture over the roast, reserving the rest for later.

  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours (or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours) until the meat is completely tender and starts pulling apart easily with a fork.

  6. Carefully transfer the tender roast onto a foil-lined baking sheet. Spoon the remaining half of your honey garlic glaze generously over the top and sides of the meat.

  7. Pop it into the oven under the broiler on high for 4 to 6 minutes until the glaze is bubbling, sticky, and gorgeously charred around the edges. Watch it closely so it doesn't burn!

  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes, then shred or slice. Spoon the rich pan juices from the slow cooker over the top and serve hot alongside roasted potatoes or vegetables!
