Mix together warm water, yeast and sugar in a bowl or measuring cup. Let is sit for 5-10 minutes until it has foamed up and the yeast is active.
In a large bowl mix together flour, oil, salt, and the yeast mixture. Stir until it forms a shaggy dough.
Place on a lightly floured surface and knead for 2 minutes, until it is a smooth dough, adding more flour as necessary.
Place a piece of parchment paper in the base of your 6 quart crockpot. Put the smooth ball of dough in the center.
Cover your crockpot with a tea towel, and then place the lid on your crockpot. Cook on high for 2 hours.
After 2 hours carefully remove the bread from the crockpot. Place on a baking sheet and place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, if you want it golden brown on top.
