  1. Finely mince 1 clove of garlic

  2. Add the minced garlic to a mortar & pestle and pound it until it becomes a smooth paste

  3. Add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika and ½ teaspoon of sea salt to the mortar and mix everything together

  4. Using wooden skewers, add about 4 jumbo shrimp that are already peeled and deveined onto each skewer

  5. Pre-heat a grilling pan with a medium-high heat

  6. Using a grilling brush, spread the sauce in the mortar (reserving a little for later) on top of the shrimp skewers and brush the sauce all over

  7. Once the pan gets very hot, add the skewers to the pan

  8. After about 1 minute turn the skewers to cook the uncooked side and brush what is left of the sauce onto the shrimp skewers

  9. After cooking your skewers for about 2 ½ to 3 minutes, they should be done, remove from the pan and place on a plate

  10. Garnish with some fresh parsley and some lemon wedges
