Old Fashioned Pancakes
  1. Sift the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, sugar).

  2. Add the melted butter, egg, and milk, and whisk vigorously until combined.

  3. Let the batter sit for 5 minutes.

  4. Preheat a skillet on medium-high heat and lightly spray with vegetable oil.

  5. Use a ¼ cup measuring scoop to pour the batter onto the skillet.

  6. Wait for bubbles to form around the edges and in the center, then flip the pancakes.

  7. Cook the other side for 1-2 minutes.

  8. Transfer the cooked pancakes to a warm plate and top with melted butter and maple syrup.
