Braised Beef Short Ribs
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. Season beef short ribs with coarse salt and fresh cracked black pepper

  3. Drizzle with olive oil and sear the ribs

  4. Dice celery, yellow onion, and carrots

  5. In a braising pot, combine diced vegetables with salt, onion powder, and garlic powder

  6. Add flour and tomato paste to the vegetables and mix

  7. Pour in beef stock and red wine

  8. Add halved garlic head, thyme bundle, bay leaves, and rosemary sprigs

  9. Place seared short ribs into the braising liquid

  10. Cover and braise in oven at 350°F for 2.5 to 3 hours until ribs are tender

  11. Garnish with parsley and chives before serving
