Ingredients (makes ~1 cup)
Make the apple sugar - Grind freeze-dried apple slices into a fine powder using a spice grinder, coffee grinder, or high-speed blender. Mix the powder thoroughly into the white sugar.
Blend the rub - In a bowl, combine the apple sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well until evenly mixed and lump-free.
Store - Keep in an airtight jar in a cool, dry place. Best within 3 months (flavor is strongest when fresh).
