Cheesey Ham Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

¼ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

¾ cup buttermilk

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup diced cooked ham

2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

Directions:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Cut in the Butter: Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in buttermilk, cheese, ham, and chives until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Shape the Biscuits: Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart.

Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
